ABR is recruiting a Loan Processor for a client in Stevens Point. The starting wage will be $20 - $21 per hour plus benefits upon hire.
A Loan Processor is responsible for verifying, organizing and recording all the documentation required for a loan application. The loan processor works closely with the loan officers to ensure all necessary documentation is collected, completed accurately and processed efficiently.
Loan Processor Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Draft commercial and consumer loan documents for the loan officers.
Prepare suggested rates for the loan officers.
Ensure loan agreements are completed according to policy.
Obtain credit reports from credit reporting bureaus, flood certificates, UCC and DMV liens.
Order appraisals and title work.
Prepare denials and adverse action for loan requests.
Responsible for closing process of commercial, consumer and business loans.
Prepare documents for loan payoffs.
Recording legal records- mortgages, satisfactions, deeds, etc.
Review loan reports- make edits and necessary changes, complete maintenance for loan bookings, identify maturing or mature loans, and complete renewal paperwork or process declines.
Disburse loans and make monetary transactions as indicated on the disbursement documentation.
Process ARC and participation payments.
Monitors SOFR/Prime rate changes.
Maintain credit and lending records- scan and file.
Complete data entries in Precision for the following: booking loans, loan and participation maintenance, customer, miscellaneous, and escrow.
Draft procedures for the loan processing department.
Generate reports for loan officer meetings.
Monitor, process and filter emails received in the Processing shared email.
Provide customer service support via telephone- provide information and answer questions.
Reconcile and balance internal accounts- general ledger accounts and DDA (checking).
Adheres to all internal policies, procedures, and practices and remains in compliance with all regulations of the Bank Secrecy Act.
Participates in annual training and review of bank policies and procedures.
Loan Processor Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of federal, state and local levels of loan processing laws and regulations.
Ability to evaluate loan applications and assess credit worthiness.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to accurately and efficiently process and record large amounts of data.
Self-motivated, able to prioritize work flow and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of personal computer, Microsoft Office, Excel and banking software.
Ability to use general office machines and equipment. Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
2 years of experience in banking or finance.
