Job Title: Practice Administrator Senior (24000686) Job Type: Full Time Benefits Eligibility: Full Benefits Shift Information: M-F Job Summary: The Practice Administrator Senior is responsible for daily operations of the HOPD Physician Practice/Clinics at UT Health North Campus.

This position oversees Scheduling, Registration, Medical Assistants, LVNs, RNs, Other APP caregivers, Physicians, and Secondary clinical location operations as applicable.

This role provides innovative leadership to maximize clinic contributions to overall operational and clinical performance.

It ensures the delivery of care to patients and evaluates multidisciplinary care systematically to improve outcomes.

The administrator serves as a liaison between Physicians, UTHET Physicians Leadership, and hospital administrations, oversees operational and capital budget processes, facilitates ongoing Quality Improvement processes, and collaborates with the healthcare team to plan and implement new services.

Major Responsibilities / Duties: Assesses department needs, sets priorities, and implements changes appropriately.

Leads the development of programs to enhance services, volumes, and finances.

Communicates effectively with staff.

Works to improve operational efficiency.

Aligns all parties to expected operational goals and outcomes.

Participates in public/community relations and education assignments, including speaking to various groups.

Prepares operational and capital budgets for responsible departments and ensures adherence to budgets.

Oversees compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Compiles and prepares management reports for departmental decision-making and strategic planning.

Provides supervision, coaching, mentoring, hiring, and terminations for staff and departmental leadership.

Ensures high levels of employee engagement.

Coordinates staffing to ensure clinics and hospitals are covered by physicians and APP as needed.

Holds physicians accountable for timely, accurate, and standardized clinical reporting.

Reports monthly on financials, operations, and capital needs.

Collaborates with the Revenue Cycle Administrator to ensure timely and accurate Revenue Cycle Processes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a health care related field is required; Master's degree preferred.

Five (5) years of progressive healthcare leadership experience is required; ten (10) years preferred.

Prior managed care contracting and capitation plan understanding and experience is required.

Membership in Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) or the American College of Medical Practice Executive is preferred.
