A busy and professional office in Herndon, VA is seeking a Sr. Administrative Assistant for a 6-month temporary assignment with the potential to convert to a full-time role. This position supports senior leadership and internal teams by managing high-level administrative tasks, coordinating proposals and documentation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and manage cost proposals, change orders, submittals, and related documents.
Prepare reports, presentations, and spreadsheets for senior leaders.
Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and manage logistics for internal and external events.
Maintain file systems, handle data entry, and assist with document coding and tracking.
Submit applications and supporting materials to external agencies as needed.
Act as liaison between departments, clients, and third-party stakeholders.
Support special projects and suggest process improvements for office operations.
Qualifications:
5+ years of administrative support experience, including support for senior-level staff.
High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Experience with proposals and basic accounting practices is a plus.
