The Fuel & Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton's Aerospace Group, has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. The position is based in Jackson, MS.

The Jackson facility has approximately 500 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year.

What you'll do:

The Airline Service Center (ASC) Manufacturing Engineer supports the manufacturing processes responsible for repairing Aerospace products including hydraulic pumps, motors, motorpumps, and reservoirs. The Manufacturing Engineer performs engineering and manufacturing assignments focusing on process improvements related to product teardown, inspection, assembly, and testing. This is an entry level position designed to focus on college hires and those with less than 1 year of continuous work experience to gain the knowledge and problem-solving skills necessary to prepare successful individuals to take on roles of increasing responsibility within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Utilize problem solving tools (8D, 5 Why's, DMAIC, fishbone) to identify root causes and implement corrective / preventive actions and maximize first pass yield

Conduct time studies to establish or verify standards

Design and develop tooling to support the assembly and testing of the product

Create and improve check/inspection sheet documentation for repair / overhaul processes

Timely creation of Service Engineering Reports, documenting detailed investigation results

Identify and execute cost out initiatives through productivity improvements

Support new product additions to the ASC Component Capabilities List

Perform daily process checks to ensure compliance by technicians

Supports Eaton continuous improvement initiatives such as Rapid Improvement Events, Standard Work Events, Value Stream Mapping, and 5S+

Supports test yield investigations

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Engineering/Technology from an accredited institution

Minimum of three (3) months' experience with 3D modeling software and the design of mechanical components

This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now and in the future

Must reside within a 60 mile radius of Jackson, MS. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Co-Op/Internship experience within Engineering

One (1) year experience with 3D CAD modeling and the creation of detailed drawings

Knowledge of basic Microsoft and Microsoft Office applications

Up to 10% travel may be required
