Overview Job Summary Assists Medical Technologists in performing a wide range of complex clinical laboratory analyses in all major sections of the laboratory; recognize problems, identify causes, synthesize alternatives, and apply solutions; confirm and verify results through an in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles and instrumentation; correlate and interpret data based on knowledge of technical, instrumental and physiological conditions affecting test results; maintain and monitor a quality assurance program.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities Perform clinical laboratory analyses under the supervision of a Medical Technologist.
20 % Operate and maintain laboratory instruments under the supervision of a Medical Technologist.
20 % Provide for reporting of laboratory results to ensure continuity of care in a timely manner.
20 % Implement, maintain and access a quality assurance program.
10 % Implement and maintain a specimen collection system.
10 % Review and follow policies and procedures for compliance with regulatory agency requirements for accreditation, as noted by the supervisor.

Preferred/Desired Education Minimum Required Currently Enrolled Medical Technology Required, or Currently Enrolled Related Field from Regionally Accredited College or University Required.
