Description
We are looking for Controls specialist with an Automation, SCADA background to work directly with our midstream oil and gas clients in Texas. The candidate will support the day-to-day operational needs of a newly implemented Ignition SCADA system, and field support calls to ensuring smooth functionality and client satisfaction along with leading new projects. Responsibilities include maintaining our clients relationshions, responding to client requests, and working with field devices such as RTUs and PLCs. The role also involves interacting with remote telemetry networks and various industrial protocols, providing a hands-on opportunity to grow within the industrial automation and SCADA space, all while continuing to work hands on.
Key Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Troubleshoot field network communication and meter issues.
Design, develop, and engineer new field automation solutions .
Lead technical projects from requirements gathering through deployment and commissioning.
Collaborate with a remote-first team, communicating openly and proactively.
Push the boundaries of technology-experiment, innovate, and share your insights and expirience.
Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of feedback and learning.
Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver superior solutions.
Requirements
2-10+ years of hand on field experience in oil and gas sector around Instrumentation, Electrical and Automation.
Eligible to work in the United States. Equipped contractors only.
Proven hands-on experience with RTU's, PLC's, Ignition SCADA and industrial protocols.
Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, SQL, or similar).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A track record of leadership, independent thinking, professional growth and safety.
Ignition Core certification and experience with SCADA systems is a strong asset.
