Job Description

Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Supervisor experience with large organizations of 350+ people to oversee our standard and certified payroll operations. This role ensures accurate and compliant payroll processing while managing reporting requirements, audits, and payroll system optimizations.

Essential Duties:

Payroll Processing and Compliance:

Supervise and manage end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. employees; process and audit multi-state payroll and ensure all accompanying tasks are accurately completed in a timely manner

Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry-specific payroll regulations, including certified payroll requirements for government contracts.

Maintain accurate payroll records and report in compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage laws where applicable.

Monitor and continuously improve payroll processes, simplifying where possible.

Certified Payroll Management

Ensure payroll data integrity for government contracts and special projects.

Conduct audits to verify prevailing wage compliance and work classifications.

System Management and Optimization

Manage payroll systems, ensuring efficient data entry, processing, automation, and accuracy.

Work with HR, finance, and IT teams to optimize payroll workflows.

Stay updated on payroll software enhancements and industry best practices.

Leadership and Employee Support

Supervise and coach payroll staff, ensuring ongoing training and development.

Act as a point of contact for payroll inquiries, discrepancies, and issue resolution.

Collaborate across HR, Finance, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure optimization of payroll processes.

Core Competencies

Strong knowledge of payroll software, tax regulations, and prevailing wage laws, especially for the state of California

Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations

FPC required and/or combination of experience and certification

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Work Experience

5 years payroll experience required

Experience with payroll integrations, transformation, and ADP software preferred

Specific Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

Experience with Human Resources Information Systems

LCP Tracker Knowledge

Prevailing Wage/Certified Payroll Knowledge
