Construction Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for public sector renovation and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with unit pricing, scope development, and pre-construction planning, particularly in institutional or government work.

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and scope narratives.

Review and interpret bid documents, specifications, and addenda.

Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure accurate scopes and budgets.

Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions.

Maintain updated cost databases and historical pricing records.

Ensure estimates comply with client and regulatory standards, including SCA requirements if applicable.

Qualifications:

3+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in public or institutional work.

Experience with Gordian estimating systems and Job Order Contracting (JOC) preferred.

Experience with School Construction Authority (SCA) projects a plus.

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Salary: $100,000 to $140,000
