Accounting Manager w/GAAP Manufacturing Experience

Our Client is located in the Cook County, IL area and is looking for a detail-savvy, process-driven Accounting Manager to help lead the financial operations of our dynamic Oil & Industrial Services (IFS) segments. What You’ll Do:

As our Accounting Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial engine running smoothly.

· Supervises and provides leadership to 3 direct reports, 2 Accountants, and 1 senior accountant.

· Lead and mentor a team of accountants.

· Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

· Manage inventory and transportation accounting.

· Analyze financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

· Prepare key financial summaries, KPIs, and executive reports.

· Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.

· Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

· Partner with cross-functional teams and contribute to special projects.

What our Client is Looking For

· 8–12 years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial leadership roles.

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred or in progress.

· Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

· Experience with inventory and cost accounting is a plus.

· Ability to travel quarterly to operations.
