Position Overview

We are looking for a Professional Engineer to join our Tualatin, Oregon office. In this role, you’ll design extraordinary timber structures and contribute to the growth and strength of the company’s reputation and services. You’ll be joining a team where your ideas are valued and your craftsmanship makes a lasting impact.

What You’ll Do

As a Professional Engineer at WWS, your work will shape skylines, support communities, and redefine what’s possible with timber.

Design and engineer timber structures including commercial buildings, pedestrian and vehicular bridges, trusses, arches, beams, posts, columns, and CLT systems

Produce structural calculations and detailed contract drawings

Create clear and concise RFIs to support project execution

Coordinate directly with architects, engineers, contractors, city officials, and subcontractors

Evaluate existing timber systems or structures and produce a report of your findings.

Collaborate across departments to ensure project excellence

Play a key role in building innovative structures seen and used for decades

What You Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

Professional Engineering license (or ability to obtain)

Strong interest or experience in timber design and construction

Knowledge of building codes such as IBC and AASHTO

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

A mindset of curiosity, collaboration, and integrity
