Are you ready to build your future and grow into a leadership role in commercial construction?
NGi is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, youll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to support all phases of project execution. From submittals and document control to field coordination and cost tracking, youll play a key part in ensuring project success.
What Youll Do
Provide daily support to field operations to ensure the team has all required materials, tools, equipment, and information.
Lead the preparation and management of submittals, closeout documentation, and punch list coordination.
Assist Project Managers with issuing subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
Track daily production reports and monitor labor productivity against budget goals.
Review and resolve job cost issues using project accounting software.
Maintain project documentation including RFIs, addenda, permits, change proposals, and closeout manuals.
Partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent to coordinate the work of subcontractors and ensure schedule alignment.
Support job site safety efforts including implementation of safety signage, supplies, and procedures.
Help define project problems, collect data, and apply company best practices to resolve issues.
Participate in owner meetings and communicate updates effectively to all stakeholders.
Assist with the setup of contract documents, pay applications, and team coordination meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, or 2+ years of equivalent field or drywall trade experience.
Knowledge of commercial construction principles, scheduling, and document control.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings and specifications.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Organized, analytical, and resourceful with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing team.
