Job Overview:
MetroSys is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a 6-month contract based in Clearfield, UT with coverage of surrounding regions. This is a field-based role supporting various end-user environments. The ideal candidate will be experienced in resolving hardware and software issues, customer-service oriented, and able to work independently while traveling to nearby sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and related hardware.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications including Windows OS and Office 365.
Conduct site visits for hardware repair, replacement, and technical upgrades.
Collaborate with remote IT teams for escalated support and issue resolution.
Document service calls, resolutions, and maintain accurate asset records.
Ensure prompt and professional support, maintaining high end-user satisfaction.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of desktop or end-user support experience.
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and basic networking (IP, DNS, DHCP).
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Willingness to travel regularly within Las Vegas and surrounding areas (mileage reimbursed).
Ability to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft equivalents.
Experience supporting remote office locations or mobile workforces.
Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and endpoint management tools.
