Sr. Grading Estimator/Project Manager

The Sr. Grading Estimator/Project Manager position is a permanent full-time opportunity with a reputable site development company located in Wilmington, NC. The ideal candidate will be a professional, dynamic, career-oriented, reliable, and motivated individual. This role necessitates experience in 3D estimating software, as the successful applicant will be responsible for estimating projects and managing site work and utility construction projects. Key tasks will include managing project budgets and schedules.

Skills

Proficiency in 3D estimating software (Ag-Tek preferred)

Strong project management experience

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to negotiate and secure subcontracts

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project Standard

Attention to detail and ability to follow safety policies

Ambitious and self-motivated with a can-do attitude

Responsibilities

Manage multiple projects while completing estimating duties

Supervise site superintendents, vendors, and subcontractors

Communicate with project owners and engineers

Attend pre-bid meetings and develop accurate bid proposals

Negotiate and manage subcontracts

Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets

Handle change order pricing and negotiations

Qualifications

5 to 10 years of experience in site work and utility construction project management

A record of successfully estimating and managing civil site and utility projects

Working knowledge of civil site and utility construction methods and production rates

Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree is desirable

Cost accounting experience preferred
