Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Structural Welders for projects located in Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $45/hour based on experience and skill level plus $140/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

Heating with Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch

Air Carbon Arc Gouging

Other tasks assigned

Requirements:

Must be able to pass a weld test

Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry

Minimum of 4+ years of experience

Must have NNS or Naval Shipyard experience

Experience working in a physically demanding environment shipboard sub-assemblies ladders staging etc
