Sr Project Accountant

The Connexa Search Group is working with a strong firm in the Greenville area looking for a Senior Project Accountant to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity for those accountants who enjoy seeing projects through from start to finish, feeling the impact they're making, and providing value!

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably within construction or a related industry. This role is instrumental in supporting project financials from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage financial performance of active projects

Prepare project billings, forecasts, and cost reports

Collaborate with project managers to maintain budget alignment

Perform month-end close and job cost analysis

Ensure compliance with company policies and project-specific requirements

Assist with audits and provide financial support to leadership

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

3+ years of project accounting experience (construction or similar industry preferred)

Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, and contract billing

Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (experience with construction accounting platforms is a plus)

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
