Direct Counsel represents a prestigious law firm who is seeking to add an Associate Attorney to their team in Pasadena, Ca.

Job Summary:

The Associate Attorney is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of assigned client cases, including case research, client relationship management, legal counsel, intra-firm coordination, and case outcomes. Reporting to the Senior Counsel and working in conjunction with the Partner, the Associate Attorney delivers high-quality client service through effective case management and legal counsel within their area of specialty.

Essential Functions:

· Provide high-quality legal counsel and advice to clients, prospects, third-party partners, and affiliates.

· Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda to advise clients on various topics within assigned legal practice areas.

· Stay updated on relevant legal developments and continue learning within assigned areas of legal practice, including corporate law, business transactions, tax law, real estate, title/insurance, estate planning, and trust administration.

· Supervise and lead assigned administrative personnel (e.g., Legal Assistants, Paralegals, and Senior Paralegals), providing guidance and direction as needed.

· Build, maintain, and expand trusted client relationships through ongoing communication and a thorough understanding of client needs, interests, concerns, goals, and options.

· Develop strategies and arguments to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.

· Draft, review, and execute legal documents related to assigned cases and projects.

· Prepare legal documents such as contracts, depositions, pleadings, and case-related materials efficiently and accurately.

· Coordinate effectively with opposing counsel and other relevant parties.

· Conduct all legal matters ethically, in compliance with the law, and in the best interest of the client.

· Demonstrate the firm’s core values and participate in cross-departmental and organizational planning and volunteer efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in law practice or consulting/professional services.

· Juris Doctorate and California Bar Accreditation required.

· Bachelor’s Degree in law, business administration, or a related field.

· Experience and knowledge in assigned legal practice areas.

· Proven ability to supervise and manage team members, delegate effectively, solve problems, prioritize work, manage time, and organize tasks efficiently.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to research, read, interpret, and organize information with accuracy and consistency.

· Ability to remain professional and focused in high-stress situations, including interactions with highly stressed clients.

· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
