Siemens eMobility® solutions is shaping the market with innovative EV charging technologies. We are dedicated to driving an open and accessible market for electric vehicles, as well as planning and implementing secure grid connections to enable further growth of EV adoption.
We are looking for Mechanical Assemblers to join our eMobility team. This position will be based in Knightdale, NC.
As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building, assembling, and wiring of all assemblies and sub-assemblies related to DC vehicle chargers.
Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Hourly Rate: $19.76
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
* 1+ year of experience performing mechanical assembly or experience in the mechanical field
* 1+ year of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated
* Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values
* Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices
* Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components
* Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
* Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
* Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
* HS Diploma / GED
* SAP experience
* Proven record in Quality and Productivity
You'll make a difference by:
* Assembly and wire DC charger cabinets, dispensers, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders
* Perform Sub assembly work including mechanical assembly of steel and components, control wiring, power cable work, and interconnection of control wires
* Record appropriate job record transactions
* Read BOM, follow layouts & assembly drawings
* Set and correct use of Torque wrenches
* Adhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improve
* Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others
* Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management

* The hourly pay for this position is $19.76. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
