Overview
The role of SQL and Application Developer is a full-stack-minded individual with a deep specialization in how applications interact with and leverage data, making them integral to the development of robust, data-driven software solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and efficient SQL databases, while also analyzing data to extract meaningful insights and support business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of database principles, excellent SQL programming skills, experience with various programming tools/languages and a keen analytical mind.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Provide data analysis and reporting to allow management to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
Document data integration processes, data flows, and system configurationsfor future reference and troubleshooting.
Develop and maintain processesto efficiently move and transform data between systems, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues that may arise from system conflicts or data discrepancies.
Required:
Proven experience as a SQL Developer or Analyst (5+ years preferred).
Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
Experience with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Working knowledge and experience with various programming languages/tools such as Java, JavaScript, C++, CSS, HTML, VBA, etc
Ability to rapidly understand and enhance our internally developed software systems.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
Knowledge of Financial, Sales and Inventory Management systems such as QuickBooks, Fishbowl, HubSpot.
Education and Background and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a SQL Developer, SQL Analyst, Database Developer, or a similar role.
Physical Demands (To include but not limited to)
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or workstation.
Occasional standing or walking within the office or shop, such as attending meetings, retrieving documents, or interacting with customers or employees.
Occasionally lifting and carrying items, typically weighing up to 10-20 pounds.
Frequent use of fingers and hands for typing, writing, and operating a computer.
Using telephones, printers, copiers, and other office tools.
Frequent need to focus on printed or digital material.
Reviewing financial documents, schedules, or customer data with accuracy.
Regular communication with customers, vendors, and team members, either in person, on the phone, or via video conferencing.
Engaging with customers in person or over the phone, sometimes requiring extended periods of active listening and problem-solving.
Prolonged exposure to hot or cold temperatures.
Mild noise from office machines or nearby shop areas if the office is adjacent to the workshop. PPE may be required while walking through the shop.
Moving around the office or between departments, sometimes requiring the ability to climb stairs.
Safely operate a motor vehicle.
