Work from Home Sign Language Interpreter in Vermont for 2025-26

Soliant is working with schools in Vermont to schedule interviews for a fully remote sign language interpreter for the next school year.With our remote contracts, you will be treated as an independent 1099 contractor, meaning youll have flexibility in your personal schedule and finances to provide remote services. Position Details

Contract:1099 independent contracting

Hours: Full-time hours (35-40 hours), including indirect time

Platform: We work withZoom Plus application (HIPAA/FERPA pliant)

Rate:$32-38/hour, depending on experience

Requirements

Degree:Preferably a Bachelor's in ASL Interpreting or American Sign Language

EIPA: 3.5 EIPA performance exam score or active RID certification

Experience: Past SLI teaching experience, with remote experience preferred

Set Up: Home puter with camera and microphone functions with strong internet connection, capable of running Zoom or Microsoft Teams

Responsibilities

Provide synchronous online interpreting for deaf/hard of hearing students.

Collaborate with onsite staff and faculty to support student needs.

Facilitate in virtual IEP meetings with family and faculty members.
