Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. This Contract-to-Permanent role offers an opportunity to manage critical financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in reporting, reconciliations, and analysis. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review accurate monthly financial reports to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations, to maintain financial accuracy.

• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting.

• Utilize Sage Intacct software to streamline accounting operations and financial reporting.

• Oversee general ledger activities and maintain journal entries to support proper accounting procedures.

• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic business decisions and forecasting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with broader organizational goals.

• Provide technical accounting expertise for complex transactions and offer guidance on policies.

• Monitor and manage cash flow activities to optimize financial health.

• Assist with audit preparation and multi-entity financial management, as needed.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification is preferred but not required.

• Demonstrated experience in account reconciliation and balance sheet management.

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Solid understanding of general ledger and journal entry processes.

• Proven ability to manage month-end close procedures efficiently.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with executives, investors, and bankers.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
