We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Shawnee, Kansas. In this role, you will oversee crucial financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payment processes and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the complete site payment process, ensuring timely and accurate transactions while adhering to company policies.
• Reconcile financial data from various systems to produce accurate payment and accounting reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to address discrepancies and provide support for payment-related inquiries.
• Maintain and update payment trackers, prepare accrual reports, and assist in monthly financial close activities.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring proper coding, documentation, and resolution of any issues.
• Support vendor onboarding processes, including invoice reviews and purchase order tracking in coordination with internal teams.
• Process investigator site payments with precision and timeliness.
• Perform administrative duties such as data entry, document organization, scheduling, and compiling internal reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal procedures, and audit requirements.
• Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development of system enhancements or automation.• Proven experience in account reconciliation and management of accounts payable and receivable.
• Proficiency in processing invoices and managing billing operations.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Ability to analyze financial data and generate clear, actionable reports.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and standard operating procedures.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills for interacting with vendors and stakeholders.
