Senior Business Analyst
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Business Analyst for a critical project supporting an IT applications and infrastructure program within the Department of Justice (DOJ). This role is part of a dynamic team providing dedicated project management services to the DOJ Criminal Division, with a focus on custom Oracle application development, custom web development, and SharePoint development/administration. Although this project is currently slated for three months, there is potential for extension and conversion based on project needs and performance.

(Onsite 5 days per week)
Security Requirements:
The selected candidate will be subject to a Government Public Trust security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements before starting. This process currently takes 4–6 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the CRM Customer Technical Manager (CTM) to translate project priorities into actionable tasks and deliverables for the team.
Lead requirements-gathering efforts through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and site visits, ensuring a deep understanding of business needs.
Develop essential project artifacts, including functional requirements, use cases, screen designs, and interface specifications.
Coordinate quality assurance efforts across the team to maintain predictable and high-quality outcomes.
Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while adapting to changing requirements.
Organize and document project work plans, ensuring all materials are complete and stored appropriately.
Facilitate collaboration between developers and subject matter experts to establish technical vision and balance usability with performance.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
Strong experience creating and reviewing project artifacts (e.g., schedules, test plans, sprint reports, backlogs).
Proficiency in Agile methodologies, with demonstrated ability to establish objectives and achieve project goals.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for interfacing with customers and teams.
Previous customer-facing and teamwork experience.
•Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in software development and testing.
Systems engineering and/or business analysis background.
Familiarity with Oracle, SharePoint, and web development technologies.
Leadership experience within an IT environment.
Agile certifications such as Scrum Master.
Previous experience supporting government programs, particularly in the DOJ.
Active or prior DOJ Clearance.
