iSeries Junior Programmer Analyst
Job Description/Objectives
The Junior Programmer Analyst role will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
· Coordination and management of assigned corporate IT projects.
· Analysis of existing iSeries applications and database environments in order to identify areas for improvement, enhancement, and modernization.
· Responsiveness to any daily operational issues and business unit resources that require direct IT involvement and remediation.
· Collaboration with operational teams to identify technical issues that regularly interrupt smooth and efficient distribution practice.
· Daily operational support of existing software and database platforms.
· Documentation of application and database enhancements related to existing and newly developed corporate systems.
· Proficiency with all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle including:
· Requirements definition and strategic implementation planning.
· Technical design of application and database requirements.
· Development of scalable and efficient solutions for data management, system integration, and process automation.
· Execution of comprehensive use case scenarios to ensure application and database stability.
· Implementation and deployment of end product solutions.
· Post install verification and support.
· Additional technical duties as required.

Position Requirements
· The ideal candidate must have at least four years of development and operational experience within an IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment.
· Must be proficient with RPG (III, ILE, Free), CLLE, and SQL programming techniques.
· Practical experience with EDI, supply chain processing, and B2B data exchange.
· Skilled with iSeries IFS, Navigator, and data management tools.
· Proficiency within a distribution-based ERP environment.
· Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office/365
· Exposure to .xml, SFTP, API’s and service programming is preferred.
· The candidate should be capable of working efficiently and independently.
· Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
· Proven capacity at working multiple projects simultaneously.
· Agrees to work on-site; hybrid and remote are not available.
