Title: VP of IT Operations

Location: Las Vegas, NV (in-office)

This senior leadership role oversees all enterprise IT infrastructure operations, guiding long-term strategy, service delivery, and workforce planning. The VP of IT Operations leads transformation across platforms, processes, and partnerships, while ensuring IT services align with business priorities and regulatory standards. This position manages direct and indirect reports across internal teams and external vendors and plays a critical role in company-wide innovation, compliance, and operational readiness.

Your role:

Set vision and strategy for IT Operations to support enterprise goals, increase reliability, and optimize service delivery across locations.

Direct modernization of infrastructure with scalable, secure, and self-service capabilities that support cloud adoption, DevOps, and SRE models.

Drive adoption of new tools, automation platforms, and operational efficiencies including chargeback or showback financial models.

Align operational practices with environmental, social, and governance goals, and serve on planning and policy-making committees.

Oversee IT Service Management frameworks and implement asset management, service improvement metrics, and governance controls.

Collaborate with security leadership to embed risk controls, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance into IT operations.

Lead service portfolio management and technical debt remediation across infrastructure environments.

Manage infrastructure vendor strategy, including sourcing decisions, contract performance, and offshoring/nearshoring optimization.

Build and mentor a diverse leadership team, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure succession planning and staff engagement.

Support hybrid workforce models, improving remote and onsite experience through integrated IT services.

Partner with HR and business technology teams to ensure workforce capabilities meet future operational demands.

Promote continuous innovation and experimentation within the IT Ops team, contributing to broader enterprise technology strategy.

Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and alignment of shared platforms and services.

Maintain deep engagement with industry trends and evaluate emerging technology for potential enterprise impact.

What you’ve got:

10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including direct oversight of infrastructure operations, systems lifecycle, and staff development.

Strong track record leading strategic transformation, including Agile, DevOps, SRE, cloud services, and platform modernization.

Familiarity with IT governance, service frameworks (e.g., ITIL), and regulatory compliance implementation.

Demonstrated success managing distributed teams, vendor partnerships, and hybrid workforce environments.

Skilled in financial planning and operational budgeting, including experience with internal cost recovery models.

Proven ability to influence at the executive level, build consensus across business units, and manage change.

Exceptional conceptual, strategic thinking, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.

Deep understanding of service delivery in both in-house and outsourced or shared environments.

Experience with technology supporting high-compliance sectors or complex regulatory environments.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Experience guiding technology committees and contributing to enterprise governance.

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, or a related discipline preferred (or equivalent experience).

Must be 21+ and eligible to meet applicable certification or licensing requirements.

Ability to travel locally and within the U.S. as needed.
