At CIG Communities, we’re more than a property management company—we’re community builders. With a growing footprint across Kentucky, Ohio, and Florida, and bold plans for expansion, we’re on a mission to create places people love to live—and work. We believe in innovation, empowerment, and professional growth every step of the way.

If you’re detail-oriented, people-focused, and ready to grow your career in multi-family housing, this is the opportunity for you.

The Role: Assistant Community Manager

As our Assistant Community Manager, you’ll be the right hand to the Community Manager—helping keep the community running like a well-oiled machine. From leasing and resident retention to reporting and compliance, you’ll have your hands in a little bit of everything—and play a vital part in creating a community residents are proud to call home.

What You’ll Do

Your day-to-day will be dynamic and meaningful, including:

Supporting efficient daily operations of the community

Entering accurate resident data into our property software system

Assisting with reports, compliance documents, HUD recertifications, and lead paint forms (if applicable)

Supervising staff in the Community Manager’s absence

Managing resident and maintenance files, collections, and evictions

Participating in hiring and onboarding of on-site staff

Leading leasing efforts and resident renewals using proven sales techniques

Helping design and implement community engagement efforts like newsletters, events, and referral programs

Ensuring all on-site staff maintain professional appearance and behavior

Responding courteously and promptly to residents, vendors, and prospects

Collecting and recording rent payments, and making daily bank deposits

Reporting unusual property or resident circumstances

Assisting with marketing, community outreach, and special projects

Attending industry events and seeking professional development opportunities

Always upholding fair housing laws and CIG Communities policies and procedures

What You Bring

You’re organized, outgoing, and ready to take initiative. Your ideal background includes:

High school diploma or GED

1–3 months of related experience or training in property management or customer service

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

A team-first attitude with the ability to work independently when needed

Familiarity with property management software (a plus, but not required)

A passion for helping others and creating great resident experiences

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Competitive pay + bonuses

Great benefits and paid time off

Real opportunities for career growth

Supportive, team-oriented culture

Innovative leadership that values your ideas

Work with a company that’s growing fast and thinking big
