Logistics/Outbound Product Team

Job Description

You will be working as part of a team preparing some of the best loudspeakers in the world for shipping to customers around the world.

You will need to have a general understanding of:

product quality inspection,

packaging of heavy and fragile products,

international shipping (including HTS codes, duties), and

luxury product customer experience.

In this role, you will be expected to:

Understand our products:

Understand in detail all of our product SKUs, versions and finishes

Understand in detail the various spare parts and accessories for our products

Know our customers and work with them:

Know our distributor in each region and their shipping requirements and preferences

Deal with customer enquiries on shipping in a professional and helpful manner.

Act as the final quality check:

Assemble and check shipments ensuring every part required is accounted for and checked.

Collate test documents from across the production process for each finished product.

Maintain our outbound product database showing which products shipped when, to which customer and under which tracking number.

Carry out final quality control of outbound finished products.

Package our products efficiently, professionally and safely:

Ensure that the products in a shipment are arranged on pallets, if required, and packaged and arranged in an efficient and safe manner which will reflect well on our company when they are received.

Identify opportunities to optimise efficiency of packaging.

Manage shipping supplies:

Maintain inventory counts and restock shipping supplies when needed.

Identify opportunities to improve user experience with better packaging and shipping products.

Manage shipping supplier relationships:

Understand in detail how to use the online tools from each shipping company that we use, including couriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.), freight forwarders and customs brokers.

Maintain and develop our relationships with the principal contacts at each shipping company that we use, including couriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.), freight forwarders and customs brokers.

Maintain a fast and efficient process to generate competitive quotes from appropriate companies for each shipment.

Identify opportunities to optimise our shipping process.

Manage shipments from arranging pick-up through to delivery:

Arrange shipments, including completing and checking all documentation required by the shipping company, customer and the delivery destination.

Manage the entire delivery process from pickup through to delivery, tracking daily and acting on any exceptions to make sure delivery is as smooth and fast as possible.

We are looking for people who can follow procedures exactly, with excellent attention to detail.

· You will be issued with a company mobile phone for logistics communications and you will be expected to remain available for emergencies outside normal working hours.

· Prior experience in luxury product packaging is beneficial but not necessary.

· Prior experience in international logistics, such as obtaining quotes from shipping companies, completing international customs forms and communicating with customer logistics teams to arrange shipment receipt is beneficial but not necessary.

You must be:

21 years of age or older,

able to lift 75 lbs,

able to move between workstations during your shift, and

able to stand during your shift.

9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with overtime opportunities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
