Job Summary
Our Adult Day Healthcare Center (ADHC), located in Winnetka California, is looking for a Seasonal Lifeguard responsible for the general supervision and safety of our participants by preventing and responding to emergencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain constant surveillance of participants and program aides in the water.
· Administer first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary, until the arrival of emergency medical services.
· Present professional appearance and attitude at all times.
· Inspects pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable.
· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· High School diploma or its equivalent.
· A valid Lifeguard Training Certificate issued by the American Red Cross. (Required)
· A valid First Aid Certificate or its equivalent issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. (Required)
· Proof of COVID-19 vaccine or an approved exemption is required, Masks are required in all open and common areas.
Preferred Certifications:
· A valid certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association (preferred).
· Water Safety Instructor Certificate issued by the American Red Cross (preferred).
Seasonal (Temporary): May - September 2024 - until weather permits the use of the pool
Time: 8:30 am – 11:30am
Pay: $24.00
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
All candidates must pass a physical exam, TB screening and fingerprint clearance.
