We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong engineering foundation to support capital project execution for a specialty chemical manufacturing client in the El Dorado, Arkansas area.
This is an on-site role overseeing key technical and administrative aspects of capital and infrastructure projects in a dynamic production environment.
This position is ideal for individuals who have led cross-functional engineering projects within chemical, manufacturing, pulp & paper, wood products, oil & gas, or renewables sectors and are seeking a hands-on role with significant visibility and impact.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital and infrastructure projects across engineering and construction scopesDefine project goals, resource needs, budget forecasts, and execution strategiesDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking resource allocation and timelinesEnsure project deliverables meet client expectations in safety, quality, budget, and performanceFacilitate scope definition and alignment with internal and external stakeholdersProvide technical leadership and support to multi-disciplinary project teamsNavigate shifting priorities and timelines using sound problem-solving and decision-making skillsCommunicate effectively with upper management, client representatives, and cross-functional departments Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required; Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering disciplines strongly preferred5+ years of experience in project management or capital project execution in an industrial or production environmentExperience with FEL/phase-gate capital project execution frameworks (FEL0–FEL3, DDE) is a strong plusIndustry experience in specialty chemicals, manufacturing, oil & gas, wood products, pulp & paper, or renewables preferredProven ability to manage scope, cost, schedule, and quality on complex technical projectsStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skills requiredMust be able to work on-site in El Dorado, AR or relocate for the project termThis is an opportunity to be a key player in high-impact projects within a growing specialty chemical environment.
