Position: Machinist III – A Location: Kent WA Duration: 6+ months Pay Rate - $42.43/hr on W2 Shift: A shift M-Th 5a-3:30p, overtime encouraged As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will be responsible for the development and modification of PC-DMIS NC programs for mill, lathes, and multi-axis machines for various spaceflight systems.

You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of producing accurate programs and set-up sheets enabling the first article's success on tight tolerance high-value parts for various spaceflight systems.

You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Create NC programs for CNC Mills/Lathes/Multi-axis mills and Multi-axis lathes/VTLs to ensure engineering requirements are metDevelopment of a machining strategy to take design data and produce machined hardwareDevelop and manage set-up sheetsCollaborate with engineers, manufacturing engineers, and machinistsDesign custom tools and fixtures as neededProvide DFMA feedbackProcess improvement; both machining actual inputs and administrative process changesConduct product acceptance within the guidance of the company policyMaintain configuration control on files and job recordsSafely work within an industrial environment Minimum Qualifications:This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in NC programmingExcellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standardTools fixture designSet up sheet creation and managementCutter selection and cutter design if neededFeed and speed calculationsMust have Inconel, stainless steel and aluminum experienceDFMAExcellent CommunicationFluent in the use of precision hand tools and familiar with the use of personal computersIndividuals must be self-motivating to prioritize work to meet project completion datesAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S.

citizen or national, U.S.

permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:MasterCam X7 or higher experienceUnigraphics NX experienceVericut or other program verification software experienceMachinist experienceSetup and operate CNC machines
