As Certco continues to grow and evolve, we’re excited to introduce a brand-new role within our Procurement Department: Inside Sales Representative. This is a first-of-its-kind position at Certco, designed to support and expand our customer relationships while helping to shape the future of sales and service within our organization.
Based in our main office, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, brings strong communication skills, and has a passion for food sales—especially in the perishable space.

Job Summary
Responsible for managing existing customer accounts, developing new sales opportunities, and ensuring product availability and satisfaction, working in our main office. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with experience in food sales, especially perishable items, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Essential Job Functions
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. This role will have a strong focus on daily customer communication. Provide customer support regarding product inquiries and delivery updates
Take and process daily customer orders with accuracy and attention to inventory
Proactively manage product availability, shelf-life, and spoilage issues
Collaborate with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and quality control
Generate and analyze sales reports to identify growth opportunities
Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activity to maximize profitability
Collaborate with Category Managers to develop new, seasonal, promotional and long-term plans
Purchase inventory items of assigned suppliers to ensure target service level metrics, turns and spoilage goals are achieved
Complete special projects as assigned
Travel may be necessary, up to 25% of the role
Is regular in attendance and complies with the Company Attendance Policy
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of grocery retail operations, with a background in Perishable products. Knowledge of commodity pricing markets including inflation and deflation cycles
Knowledge of vendor sources and purchasing procedures
Must be familiar with ad planning and gross profit structures
Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously
Ability to communicate daily with customers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or 3-5 years of procurement/supply chain related experience preferred.
Proficiency in MS Excel and replenishment systems such as JDA and Microsoft Navision Dynamics.
