Under the direction of the Delivery Supervisor, our Class A Delivery Driver ensures the safe and professional operation of PBC's commercial motor vehicles, company equipment, accurate delivery and storage room rotation of Company products. Works swiftly in a fast-paced environment and can reliably lift products while maintaining excellent customer service to our valued customers.
What Will You Be Doing?
Creates and maintains good customer relations on behalf of the Company and its branches with
accounts, supplier representatives, and with the public at large.
Performs all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and complies with all
federal, state, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Possesses basic vehicle systems understanding and has read, understood and applied information taken from operating manual.
Applies knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in
difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading dock areas.
Ensures load on truck is balanced and accounted for properly.
Transports load over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety
regulations.
Verifies customer credit status to determine the necessity of collection of funds on the account prior to delivery.
Calls Office Coordinator or Credit Manager for approval when needed for deviation
from an otherwise normal delivery.
Unloads product from delivery truck and delivers into the customer location by using a two wheel
hand truck and pushing and/or pulling it with a load of up to 340 pounds of weight loaded onto it.
Lifts product weighing 40 to 170 pounds (cases and kegs) on a repeated basis.
Checks the condition of the packaged items to ensure salability and proper date coding.
Stocks merchandise onto shelves and rotates product in the back-room coolers assuring compliance with Anheuser-Busch policy of selling the oldest code dated products first.
Ensures all other stock is rotated as appropriate.
Complies with the rules and regulations set forth by the California Alcohol and Beverage Control (ABC).
Maintains an accurate written log of daily stops and transactions and communicates information between customers and Sales Representative.
Inspects truck for defects and safe operating condition before and after trips and submits pre-trip and post-trip report to the Route Supervisor.
Accurately adjusts invoices for product changes and empties credits.
Cleans truck cab and bays, tools, and equipment.
May be required to build structurally sound and visually effective displays.
Reports and records pertinent information regarding all accidents involving driver or company property in accordance with company safety policies.
Informs sales representatives of pertinent occurrences in the market place.
Complies with federal and state safety regulations and with Company safety policies and procedures.
Performs additional duties as assigned, delegated, or required.
Job Information
Full time position / 40 hours per week
10 hour shifts Tuesday-Friday
Current Employee Hourly Pay Rate: Ranging from $25-$30 depending on experience and your years worked at the Company

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents, written in English, such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate well with customers.
Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations.
Must possess a valid Class A license and must meet Department of Transportation physical and
medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening, as a safety sensitive employee subject to
random substance abuse screening. Must possess a driving record in accordance with Company's
established guidelines. Must be certified (or be willing to be certified) to drive a forklift or pallet jack
in accordance with OSHA standards.

This position requires extensive driving. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger,
handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel,
crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move cases weighing
between 25. and 40 pounds, often lifting overhead. The employee also must have the ability to lift a
170 pound keg waist high and be able to step down two steps while carrying a 40 pound case.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to vibration from the
delivery vehicle. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside
weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May spend up to 25% of
day in a refrigerated environment and experience areas of slippery footing due to condensation. The
noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
