Mechanical Design Engineer

Title: Mechanical/Automation Design Engineer

BEST BACKGROUND: Automation Packaging, Automation Warehouse, Automatic Conveyor Belts, Assembly Line Engineering, Automated Process Engineering with Strong automation & machine building design experience

o 10+ years' experience doing automated machine design with at least 5+ years being the lead/sole/primary designer

o Ability to design the way from concept to detailed design of a full system

o Automation design experience should include experience incorporating steppers & servo motors, all types of sensors, complex motion systems or robots, etc

o Ability to calculate/estimate and then spec automation components to incorporate into designs

o Automated sorting or pick & place system design experience is a plus!

o Should also naturally have experience integrating designs with control/electrical systems

• General machinery/automation/robotics safety and ergonomic design familiarity

o Experience with design compliance to FDA/NSF (food safety requirements) and/or ANSI/ISO (machinery safety requirements) is a plus!

• MUST BE Hands on & interested to help build/prototype and test solutions too!

MUST HAVES:

5+ Years of Solidworks

Machine Design Experience Hands On - They will be developing a machine that will assist with automated assembly, assembly line, automated packaging

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience in the following fields: Food, Food Packaging, Warehouse Packaging, Medical Assembly/Packing, Cosmetic Assembly/Packaging

Food/Kitchen Equipment or Food Processing Equipment design experience is a plus!

Duration: 6 Month Contract to Start (High likelihood of extension/conversion down the road)
