Job Title: Power BI Developer Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – Tuesday and Thursday preferred) Duration: 6 Months (Contract to Hire) Rate: $75 to $89/hr on W2 Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Start Date: ASAP Interview Process: 1st Round Technical Interview, 2nd Final Round Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years of Power BI Developer experience Equipment: Provided (Pickup or Shipment) Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Power BI Developer to join our team.

This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Power BI, Databricks, and dbt.

The role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs, and delivering actionable insights through high-quality dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needsDesign and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BICreate data models and perform data transformations using Power Query and DAXUse Databricks and dbt to build gold-layer reporting objectsEnsure data accuracy and implement validation and quality checksOptimize Power BI reports for performance and usabilityTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI reportsDocument technical processes, data sources, and report specifications Technical Skill Requirements: Business Intelligence Tools:Power BI, Power Query (M Language), DAX, Power Pivot, Power View, SSRSAzure Databricks, Azure Analysis Services (SSAS), Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Data Lake Store, Power Apps Database Technologies:Azure SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, MongoDB Experience Requirements:Strong experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reportsDeep knowledge of Power BI enterprise architecture and securityExperience writing complex queries and building paginated reportsStrong DAX skills for creating measures and KPIsProven ability in building and deploying tabular models in Azure Analysis ServicesExperience in implementing BI solutions using Azure technologiesExperience with medallion architecture in Databricks Soft Skills / Domain Knowledge:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to function independently and manage multiple tasksStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsReinsurance or Insurance industry knowledge is preferred Preferred Qualifications:Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView, IBM Cognos)Experience with Azure cloud servicesMicrosoft Power BI certification or equivalent is a plus Please connect with me at or drop me your contact at .
