Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field.
5-7years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or a related role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of production planning principles, techniques, and best practices.
Familiarity with bills of materials (BOM) and engineering drawings
Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Navision)
Experience with standing up an ERP is a plus
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is preferred.
Familiarity with shipping terms and practices
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the master production schedule, considering factors such as customer orders, sales forecasts, capacity planning, and material availability.
Directing work, offering suggestions for parallel path efforts to surge capacity.
Attending job release meetings to understand SOW (Scope of Work) and provide recommendations on scheduling and lead times.
Reviewing service orders for completion, coordinate scheduling across departments.
Supporting re-prioritization requests, working with appropriate departments to ensure communication of urgent customer needs.
Understanding capacity by department to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Ability to make informed decisions without immediate oversight.
