Job Summary

Part of a larger team delivering high quality technology solutions to the business. Design, develop and install software solutions. Build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with internal architecture, development & design standards & best practices. Design, modify, develop, write, implement and troubleshoot software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications. Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Works within a Waterfall or Agile methodology/framework based team. Collaborates heavily with Project Management, Business Analyst and Infrastructure Job Families.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

Assist in supporting Automatic Generation Control (AGC) systems and troubleshoot the operational SCADA environment.

Maintain database configurations for Monarch and provide on-call support after hours (24/7) on a rotational basis.

Develop practical solutions for customer issues and align client needs with appropriate solutions.

Communicate issues and status updates clearly and assist in preparing proposals for Requests for Proposal (RFPs).

Create presentations for diverse audiences and generate infrastructure support documentation.

Maintain knowledge of the company's software and hardware products and provide training to team members as needed.

What We're Looking For:

Solution Engineer Senior (SG7):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience is required.

An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Solution Engineer Principal (SG8):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience: 7 years relevant work experience is required.

An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Nice-To-Have:

Experience/Skills:

Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting OSI Monarch SCADA systems.

Basic understanding of NERC CIP security principles.

Familiarity with WAN and VPN concepts.

Basic knowledge of the C programming language.

Understanding of communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus).

Familiarity with ladder logic.

Knowledge of Remote Terminal Units (RTUs).

Location: Prefer candidate to live within 50 miles of Columbus, OH
