THE JOB:
As a Senior Shared Finance Services Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting gaming audit operations and department business processes across multiple MGM Resorts properties. This detail-oriented role requires a mix of data entry, technical, and analytical skills to identify discrepancies, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and uphold accurate financial reporting. Working in a cross-functional team, you’ll help implement and maintain business solutions while contributing to the integrity of our audit operations.
THE STARTING RATE: $28
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Ensure effective operational processes, and complete daily departmental tasks, auditing work for accuracy, resolving discrepancies, adhering to and driving department policies and procedures, and demonstrating proficiency in all job-related systems to support successful internal and external audits
Support, develop and maintain effective communication, improve customer service quality and efficiency, and maintain excellent relationships with internal customers ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met
Participate in the development, design, measurement of assigned projects and ensure analytical and control activities are operating effectively within the department
Promote an effective relationship amongst the Finance Shared Services Center, the business unit, other corporate departments
Support Company strategies and business plans to meet the individual and departmental performance requirements
Consistently demonstrate the ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities, innovative ideas, potential solutions and communicate them effectively
Assist with execution and implementation of LEAN Process Improvement Initiatives
Participate in finance and accounting activities for the department including recommendations based on data, metrics and key performance indicators
Investigate and prevent control and compliance risks to protect the company's assets from unethical behavior
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Has a High School Diploma or GED
Prior accounting or auditing experience in a hotel setting
