Reports To: HR Manager

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Human Resources Generalist job entails providing a comprehensive administrative support to day-to-day operations of human resources participating in full-cycle recruitment processes, benefits administration, training and development, needs analysis, maintaining the accuracy of employee data records, etc. Human Resources Generalist will work closely with the human resources department personnel, finance and accounts department, and other departments throughout the organization providing a customer focused and effective HR support service to the organization to achieve the organization goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Leverages HR policies, programs, and practices to create and maintain a positive, high-performing workplace

Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies

Consults with line management and provides HR guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, etc.)

Maintains requisite knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance

Manages and resolves employee relations issues; conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations

Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships and build morale to increase productivity and retention

Preparing and posting job advertisements, screening applications, arranging interviews, participating in selection process, and administering pre-employment tests as required.

Establishing, maintaining and controlling personnel, employees, recruitment relations records, files, correspondence, reports, and organization charts.

Managing sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, employee relations, and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files.

Interpreting, assisting and advising employees and managers regarding cooperative agreement applications, leave management and benefit administration, and HR procedures and policies within the specified guidelines.

Conducting research, gathering data and statistical reports, and maintaining statistical information.

Coordinating volunteer and staff training events or programs and recommending resources, as needed.

Helping to administer and monitor new hire orientation programs.

Handling issues and inquires in unavailability of HR Manager.

Participating in hiring process activities such as creating job descriptions, posting jobs on job board or website, reviewing applications, and maintaining tracking on applicants.

Helping in maintenance of employee directory and company organization charts.

Providing assistance in monitoring employee performance appraisal processes.

Identifies opportunities to improve systems, processes, and practices developing and presenting proposals to close gaps or progress the human resources effectiveness within the organization.

All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Effective problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of full-cycle recruitment process and metrics.

Competent keyboard skills to produce accurate and well-presented reports.

Able to present information in forms, tables, and spreadsheets.

Should be an effectual communicator verbally as well as through writing skills.

Should be committed to diversity and equality culture.

Ability to operate under immense pressure.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

Preferred:

Some experience with benefits administration

Experience within a manufacturing environment.

Experience developing and conducting training courses.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have excellent communication skills; reading, writing and listening.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Required knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word using MS Windows platform. MS PowerPoint and ADP systems preferred

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES

Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.
