Become a part of our Warehouse Team team at one of our locations in Baytown, Texas. For the next possible date we are looking for you fulltime (40h/week) as the Warehouse Data Entry Clerk.
The Warehouse Data Entry Clerk is responsible for providing administrative support to the warehouse operations team while also serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. This dual-role position ensures the smooth flow of warehouse documentation, inventory records, and front-desk activities with a focus on professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:
Input data from shipment documents, inventory logs, and warehouse transactions into the system in a timely and accurate manner.
Verify data by comparing it to source documents and correct errors when detected.
Maintain digital and physical records of shipping, receiving, and inventory movements.
Generate reports and assist in cycle counts and inventory reconciliation processes.
Coordinate with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure data matches physical inventory.
Perform routine audits and quality checks on entered data for accuracy and compliance.
Support other administrative duties such as filing, scanning, labeling, and organizing inventory documents.
Communicate effectively with team members regarding any discrepancies or needed clarifications.
Assist in ordering warehouse supplies and coordinating basic warehouse setup tasks as needed.
Administrative Duties:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1–2 years of data entry or administrative experience preferred, especially in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and data entry software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Basic understanding of warehouse operations is a plus.
CargoWise1 is a bonus but not required.
Additional Requirment:
Candidates residing in the Baytown area will be strongly considered due to proximity and responsiveness to operational needs.
Must be willing to work occasional Saturdays or as needed to meet business demands.
