Database Administrator (Secret) with Security Clearance

Position Title: Database Administrator Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: No - Not available for this position Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday Travel: Up to 10% of the time Position Summary: Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking a Database Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES contract at Redstone Arsenal.

This role is responsible for the operation, performance, and reliability of enterprise database systems supporting mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities: The candidate will: * Install, configure, operate, and maintain database systems within the MDA enterprise environment.

* Develop and maintain database policies, standard operating procedures, and supporting documentation.

* Monitor and optimize database performance, including fine-tuning and indexing.

* Design and implement database backup and disaster recovery strategies.

* Conduct regular capacity, availability, and integrity audits.

* Collaborate with application developers, architects, and business owners to define and meet system requirements.

* Participate in IT and business projects to identify and implement database technology solutions.

* Research, evaluate, and integrate new database technologies into the enterprise architecture.

Minimum Qualifications: * Must be a U.S.

Citizen * Must have 6 or more years of experience designing and implementing database structures, automating DBA tasks, or working with data modeling and schema design * Must have, or obtain within 6 months of start date, an appropriate computing environment certification (e.g., Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Azure) * Must have, or obtain within 3 months of start date, a current DoD 8570 Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) * Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Qualifications: * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or higher * Experience with SQL Server clustering, performance tuning, and monitoring * Experience with SQL Server backup and recovery operations * Knowledge of relational DBMS architecture and design * Experience working with cloud-based databases in Azure or AWS Compensation: Salary Range: $118,000.00 - $128,000.00 annually.

Final compensation is based on experience, education, and directly relevant certifications.
