Position: Assistant Superintendent San Diego Office
As an Assistant Superintendent at RAM Constructions San Diego office, you will play a key role in managing daily field operations, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating subcontractor activities. This position is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress and plan upcoming activities.
Oversee quality control and ensure work meets project specifications.
Communicate effectively with the project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and submittals.
Ensure subcontractors are executing their scopes of work accurately and safely.
Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure compliance.
Identify and resolve construction conflicts in collaboration with the project team.
Maintain detailed daily logs in Procore.
Lead weekly subcontractor and safety meetings.
Issue notices of non-compliance when necessary.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Assist with punch list creation and completion.
Support Superintendents and the General Superintendent with additional tasks.
Be available for potential night shifts as required by project schedules.
Requirements
Proven experience supervising construction projects for a General Contractor.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must have experience working in San Diego municipalities, including interfacing with building inspectors and code enforcement officers.
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Procore.
Experience in Class-A office space and occupied buildings is a plus.
Qualifications
Highly organized with strong multitasking and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and team coordination abilities.
Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented, dependable, and driven.
Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients, tenants, and subcontractors.
OSHA 10/30 certification required; First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
