Sr. Network Engineer

Location: On-site Charlotte, NC (South Charlotte)

No C2C, Fulltime W2 only

Responsibilities:

• Engineering enterprise data, voice and video networks Must have Docker, Loadbalance, Nutanix, Cisco, Firewall, Server

• Establishing and operating network test facilities

• Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks

• Working with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on network implementation, optimization and ongoing management

• Providing high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, Firewalls, Switches, Routers, SANs, WAPs.

Must Have:

• 7+ years minimum work experience in similar role

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Deploying, Supporting, and Configuring Windows Server 2008 R2 & 2012, & 2016

• Deploying, Supporting, and Configuring Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2014 & 2016 (AlwaysOn)

• Experience in installing Windows Services

• Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Implementation and Management Experience

• Deploying, Supporting, and Configuring Microsoft Exchange Server 2010

• Public DNS Hosting Experience; Private DNS Hosting Experience

• Basic SQL Server Troubleshooting Skills.

• Expert understanding of Networking Protocols (TCP/UDP/ARP/NAT/PAT/GRE/IPSec/L2TP/SSL VPN/SNMP/VTP/CDP/BGP/IGMP/OSPF/RIP1/RIP2/IGP/EIGRP/MULTICAST)

• Expert understanding in designing, implementing, and managing secure VLANs

• vSphere up to version 6

• VMware ESX/ESXi 5-6.5 server installation, upgrades, HA/DR experience

• VMKernel 6.0 Linux Experience

• Creating VM Templates

• Creating and Managing VM Datastores including performance analysis and identifying bottlenecks

• VM storage management in environments with enterprise-grade SAN solutions (CIFS,NFS,iSCSI, FC/FCoE, Aggregates, Qtrees, Quotes, LUNs, Shares, Volumes, SnapMirror)

• Experience performing storage vmotions/migrations

• Cisco UCS Manager

• Cisco UCS Chassis 5108 with Cisco UCS B200 M4 Blades

• Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects

• Cisco UCS High Availability Configuration and Support

• Experience with Cisco FlexPod Systems

• NetApp FAS and AFF Design, Implementation, and Support Experience

• NetApp Solid State Design, Implementation, and Support Experience

• NetApp High Availability Configuration and Support

• Monitoring Resources and making configuration changes based off departmental and development subset requirements

• Experience with Sonicwall NSA240, NSA3500, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto

• Enterprise Level Cisco Switches Nexus5K, 3K, 9K, Catalyst 3750X, Catalyst 3524XL SGE2010P

• Packet Capture and Troubleshooting with internal and external systems. Must be able to pinpoint if a problem is at the network, server, or application level

• Monitor Network Usage and Policing including QoS, CoS, Egress/Ingress Bandwidth Management

• Basic Cisco Call Management (CUCM), Contact Center (UCCX), and Unity Connections (UC) Experience v11

• Cisco Extension Mobility; Cisco Desktop Agent/Supervisor/Reporting; Cisco IP Phones

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

• Previous Enterprise Class Data Center Experience.

• A+, Net+ Server+, Security+, Linux+, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, VCP

• Experience Deploying WSUS updates

• Windows Server Security Hardening

• Tomcat and IIS 7 Configuration and Support

• Managing Anti-Spam via SpamTitan and Front-End Exchange Filtering

• Ensure all configuration remains PCI/SOC Compliant per internally defined requirements

• Certificate Creation, Renewal, and Enrollment Experience (Tomcat & IIS)
