Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in a job shop environment. You will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and editing CNC machines, specifically focusing on vertical mills. This role requires proficiency in G&M Code, machine edits, and tool changes. You will read blueprints and use calipers and micrometers to ensure parts remain within tolerance. The position involves machining on materials such as steel, stainless steel, and brass, with production shop settings that have shorter run times.
Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and edit CNC machines.
Utilize G&M Code for machine operations.
Make machine edits and perform tool changes.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Use calipers and micrometers to ensure parts remain within tolerance.
Machining on steel, stainless steel, and brass materials.Essential Skills
4+ years of machining experience with lathe or vertical mills.
Experience with machine set up and tear down.
Ability to perform program edits and tool changes.
Good job tenure and familiarity with various machine types including lathe, CNC lathe, CNC mill, vertical mill, horizontal boring mill, and vertical lathe.
Knowledge of changeovers, brake press, CNC laser, and various machine brands such as Brothers, Doosan, Lynx, Trumpf.
Proficiency in G&M code, conversational programming, Fanuc controls, set ups, edits, programming, tool changes, and robotic welders.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic programming knowledge.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alliance, Ohio.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
