**Job Title: CNC Machinist**

**Job Description**

Join our team as a CNC Machinist (Mill), where you will operate, maintain, and edit CNC machines on a first shift schedule from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with optional overtime of 5-10 hours. You will work in a production shop in Canton, OH, with shorter run times, machining on stainless and brass materials. Your role will include understanding G&M Code and ensuring parts are within tolerance of +/- .005 using calipers and micrometers.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate, maintain, and edit CNC machines.

+ Understand and utilize G&M Code.

+ Make machine edits and tool changes.

+ Read blueprints and ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.

+ Use calipers and micrometers for precision machining.

+ Conduct basic maintenance and setup of CNC machines.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proficiency in CNC Machine Operation, including lathe and mill setups.

+ Knowledge of G&M Codes.

+ Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerancing.

+ Experience with edits, tool changes, and basic maintenance.

+ Skill in using micrometers and calipers.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience with 3-axis CNC machines is required.

+ Programming skills are a plus.

**Work Environment**

You will work in a family-friendly job shop environment with around 50 employees. The facility manufactures over 70,000 safety components each year, ensuring safe operations in a variety of industries. The products include mechanical interlocks, electro-mechanical interlocks, solenoid key release units, time delay key release units, transfer panels, and smart technology, all designed to meet specific user requirements and ensure sequential safety operations.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Canton, Ohio.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
