Controller

We are assisting a construction client with their search for a talented Controller. This company is looking for a passionate and accomplished Accounting Professional to help improve upon their current accounting operations through automation and process improvement initiatives. They are a family-owned business with a great internal culture and looking for someone that can add value to the business and the culture. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary of $175,000 to $200,000 plus bonus and they are fully in-office 5 days a week with some flexibility to work from home on occasion.
Responsibilities include:
· Financial leadership of an established construction operation
· Manage a team of 5 in the day to day accounting
· Responsible for month end close, budget reporting, WIP, POC, etc.
· Work closely with Controller on financial and non-financial initiatives
· Serve as a resource for process re-engineering and implementation
Requirements:
· Current or recent Controller or Assistant Controller level role
· Big 4 experience or large national CPA firm experience required
· Must be a true accounting leader, someone that can serve as a strategic partner to leadership, but also inspire the accounting team to perform at the highest levels
· Construction industry desired, but not required
· Must be experienced with Fixed Assets, WIP, sales/use tax
· Technically savvy, experience optimizing and automating processes through technical advancements
· Experience with a construction accounting platform such as Sage, Timberline, etc.
· CPA a plus, but not required
