Job Description
The Packaging Operator is responsible for efficiently monitoring downstream packaging, capping, and casing equipment. You will ensure quality standards by performing periodic package and case integrity tests. Your role includes proper set-up and changeovers of equipment and supplies, as well as performing rework and sanitation duties as required. Additionally, you will efficiently operate automated systems and troubleshoot problems using a computer touch screen.
Responsibilities
Monitor and operate downstream packaging, capping, and casing equipment efficiently.
Ensure quality standards by performing periodic package and case integrity tests.
Set up and change over equipment and supplies properly.
Perform rework and sanitation duties as required.
Operate the automated system efficiently and troubleshoot problems using a computer touch screen.Essential Skills
Production experience in packaging, warehouse, or assembly.
Attention to detail.
Ability to read and comprehend English work instructions.
Ability to work a 12-hour shift on your feet for the entire duration.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments.

Work Environment
The work environment is a fast-paced food production setting where you will monitor the packaging line and products coming out of the packaging machine. It can have strong odors and requires standing for 12 or more hours per shift. The position operates on a rotating schedule with the Front Half Nights shift running every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 6pm to 6:30am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
