Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check.

Essential Job Duties

BambooHR is looking for a Sr Technical Program Manager who is ready to spearhead innovative projects that shape the future of technology! Program Managers at BambooHR play a critical role in driving the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of projects across Engineering, IT, and Security departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong program management background with proven leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

You will:

Design, implement, and strategically evolve an incident management program across multiple departments, defining processes, policies, and workflows for incident response and escalation (call trees, on-call schedules, handoffs) to ensure timely and effective resolution of incidents company-wide.

Develop and implement communication plans and processes to keep key stakeholders, executives, and customers informed during incidents, providing timely and accurate updates.

Establish incident management KPIs, monitor performance, and drive improvement initiatives with broad organizational impact, using postmortem reviews to adjust processes and KPIs.

Leverage AI to enhance daily operations and transform processes, and lead AI initiatives across engineering, product, and design teams.

Proactively incorporate learnings from postmortem reviews to improve processes, policies, workflows and KPIs across the organization.

Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering teams and executive leadership to develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap, aligning projects and programs with strategic business goals.

Develop detailed strategic project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, budget estimates, and risk assessments, for technology roadmap initiatives.

Manage technology roadmap initiatives, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery while anticipating future needs.

Guide technical teams to ensure accurate capture and tracking of technical requirements.

Manage program dependencies, critical path, and potential bottlenecks across multiple programs and initiatives.

Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, developing and implementing contingency plans to ensure project momentum.

Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging cross-functional teamwork, knowledge transfer, and effective communication.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate program status, updates, and risks to key stakeholders and leadership.

Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., Agile, Scrum, JIRA, Wrike).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

8+ years of proven experience in program management, with a track record of successfully managing programs and initiatives.

Deep curiosity and hands-on experience using AI, with a history of exploring new tools to drive efficiency in your daily workflows.

Bonus points for candidates with data and analytics projects experience and utilizing insights to enhance project efficiency and support strategic goals.
