*This is a 12-month Term Position*
This role is responsible for monitoring the credit union’s Symitar host systems and peripheral equipment for the purpose of uninterrupted core data processing, and batch program jobs. This includes performing Core Systems daily operational tasks such as scheduling and executing batch jobs, downloading and transmission of daily data files to external vendors and internal customers. Provides Symitar host and on-call support.

Symitar host systems (1 Production and 1 Dev) – Hosted at JHA EASE
Third Party connections to Card Processing, Mobile, Online and Audio Banking systems

Supervisory responsibilities
This position reports to the Sr Manager, Core Systems Support. No one reports to this position.
NATURE & SCOPE
Perform Symitar system daily processing and operational support needs for all areas of the credit union which includes but is not limited to daily, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processing. Ensure all daily jobs are completed according to the established procedure(s).
Maintains the integrity of the security privileges given to all users, which includes assignment of Symitar user logon credentials.
Maintains reference documentation and procedures for daily, monthly and yearly operations.
Ensures proper cyber security practices in dealing with all areas of Information Technology.
Assist with and be knowledgeable of the execution of the disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
Create and manage work orders in a helpdesk system. Utilizes helpdesk software to document problems and record solutions.
Interfaces with vendors to provide service on third party communications and related Symitar hardware/software.
Performs basic diagnostic testing and resolves or escalates problems as defined in the operating procedures.
Required to work various shifts, holidays, weekends as warranted.
Monitors and assess issues with third party communications to Phone, Mobile and Online banking.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Education, Skills, and Abilities
Information Technology degree or program coursework is desired along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT, personal computers, system networks, with knowledge of various other types of software and office equipment.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, and an ability to provide excellent quality service to "internal/external" customers.
Ability to communicate ideas and problem resolution steps to technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and technical skills.
Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems and pc functionality.
Experience with core software systems, including Symitar/Episys.
Working technical knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems, and file transfer software.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs daily, monthly and yearly operational tasks as listed consistently and accurately.
Monitors and maintains data connections to third party vendors.
Maintains batch jobs including Close Day, Month and Year end processing.
Ensures correctness of system posting, file generation, department and branch reporting and report distribution.
Analyzes, recommends and implements modifications to maintain and increase system stability and productivity.
Analyzes user issues, identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the reported problems to ensure a timely resolution.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Excellent ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing; ability to tolerate periods of continuous sitting; ability to operate and utilize a personal computer and peripherals. Ability to lift and carry weight up to 60 lbs.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Work is primarily performed within a cubicle office setting. Subject to conversational noise found in an office environment. Subject to server noise found in a data center environment.
