Description: ABOUT THE ROLE \n\nSupport and maintain the plant safety program through day-to-day safety contacts with employees and department safety meetings, ensure assigned work areas are safe and safety requirements are observed.Position Shift Hours: 12 hour shifts 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am, DuPont rotating shift scheduleWHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH\n\n\n\tMaintain continual observation of operation of all the various processes through recordings and indications of the control system, monitors and visual observation when necessary.\n\tSupervise process and hourly employees and work closely with lab technicians.\n\tEnsure that quality and environmental ISO standards are met.\n\tAssure that a consistent, quality product is being produced through interaction with the quality control department and through the review of laboratory test results on clinker and cement.\n\tTake corrective action as necessary and report and recommend solutions for production problem areas.\n\tAssure the regular inspection and evaluation of all operating equipment to help maintain production requirements.\n\tUse SAP system to issue work and material requisitions, hourly employee time entry and other required system information.\n\tWork to keep costs related to work in line with the plant budget and be alert for ways to reduce costs of operations, maintenance and repairs.\n\tEnsure good housekeeping is maintained in assigned work areas.\n\tEnsure that dock unloading practices are done safely and efficiently.\n\tWill be required to work rotating shift.\n\tDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.\n\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\n\nEducation: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.\n\nField of Study Preferred: Industry related field preferred.\nRequired Work Experience: 3-5 years in cement operation.\n\nRequired Computer and Software Skills: Knowledge of processing methods and appropriate planning techniques.

Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Additional Requirements: \n\n\n\tPrevious supervisory experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.\n\tSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
