Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Kafka Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-throughput data streaming platforms using Apache Kafka. You will define architectural patterns, best practices, and guide development teams in building robust, event-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect high-availability Kafka solutions for real-time event processing.
• Define topic structures, data contracts, retention strategies, and throughput scaling.
• Establish security policies (RBAC, encryption, ACLs) and governance.
• Design data pipelines using Kafka Connect, KSQL, Kafka Streams.
• Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and application teams for seamless integration.
• Own disaster recovery design, cross-DC replication (MirrorMaker2), and HA setup.
• Evaluate and implement Kafka in hybrid/multi-cloud architectures.
Required Skills:
• 10+ years in distributed systems and messaging architecture.
• Expert in Kafka internals, architecture, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on with Connectors, KSQL, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry.
• Strong understanding of delivery semantics, fault tolerance, and scalability.
• Experience integrating Kafka with enterprise systems (DBs, APIs, microservices).
• Familiarity with Kafka on Kubernetes, Confluent Platform, or AWS MSK is a strong plus.
