Title: Sr Cloud DevOps Engineer
Money: 72-80 hr
Location: Onsite DC - 5 days a week
About Us We’re building a next-generation data platform on Google Cloud Platform to power in-app workflows and analytics for our users. You’ll join a small, cross-functional team responsible for end-to-end service development, deployment, and operational excellence. You’ll have input and ownership on all infrastructure design to CI/CD pipelines that enable us to successfully deliver a quality product.
What You’ll Do
● Architect, provision, and maintain GCP infrastructure (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage)
● Design and manage Terraform configurations and modules for both staging and production environments
● Build, enhance, and operate CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
● Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting (Stackdriver, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK)
● Automate repetitive tasks via scripting (Bash, Python, Go) and configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
● Collaborate with developers to define deployment strategies, optimize performance, and troubleshoot production issues
● Establish and enforce security best practices (IAM policies, VPC design, network security)
● Lead incident response efforts and drive post-mortem analyses to improve reliability
What We’re Looking For
● 4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps
● Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform services and best practices
● Strong Terraform skills: writing modules, managing state, and CI integration
● Solid background in containerization (Docker) and orchestration
● Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD workflows using industry-standard tools
● Experience with monitoring & observability stacks (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
● Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, or Go) for automation and tooling
● Thorough understanding of networking, security, and IAM in a cloud context
Nice-to-Haves
● Experience with SOC2 certification and standards
● Experience with Helm and Kubernetes operators
● Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Anthos)
● Knowledge of serverless patterns and frameworks (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)
● Exposure to chaos engineering and resilience testing (Chaos Monkey, Litmus)
● Background in cost-optimization strategies on GCP
● Prior work supporting data pipelines or machine learning inference workloads
